Stephanie Schamess
Stephanie Schamess retired from teaching child development at Hampshire College, she returned to an earlier love of writing. Her work has appeared in Persimmon, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Tiferet, The Gallery of Readers Anthology and in Hampshire Life. She recently moved from Massachusetts to be near family in Columbus, Ohio where soon upon her arrival, she organized a writing group in the senior residence that is her new home.
Susan Garett
Susan Garrett grew up on Cape Cod, where she freely roamed the shores and forests there. Although she’s spent most of her adult life inland, exploring the hills, rivers and lakes of Western Massachusetts, she has an abiding love of the sea. Susan worked for many years as a clinical social worker at community mental health centers in Holyoke, and later in elementary schools in Chicopee. She has written novels for children and young adults, and more recently, has turned her mind and heart to poetry.
