Since retiring five years ago, Carolyn McKeown found all her retirement fantasies, such as a spotlessly clean house, a weed free garden and the completion of long neglected knitting projects, dashed. Instead, she finds herself busier than ever volunteering, singing in three different choral groups and, in her only foray into politics, serving as a library trustee for the Edwards Public Library in Southampton.

Her work has been published in The Gallery of Readers Anthologies, Linea and Hampshire Life.

She lives in Southampton with her husband Rich and their elderly cat Max, who has converted her from a life-long dog person who loved cats, to an equal cat and dog person.

Susan Cocalis, storyteller, comic, certified champion cruciverbalist,and a gratefully recovering academic, lives in Northampton, Massachusetts, with her boxer. Susan’s hobbies may appear puzzling to some, but not if you know her well. She was born to be retired.
